How does dating differ in the vanilla and kinky worlds? How do you find a compatible partner, either for casual play, or for a long-term relationship? How do you keep the dating going?

Step-by-step, we show what needs to be done to go from being strangers to play partners. We anticipate common problems and show how to deal with them. We discuss marketing yourself, finding a match, stages of dating, types of play relationships, poly, resources, and more.

Angela and Iain are officers in the Society of Janus, Dungeon Monitors for SF Citadel and elsewhere, and teach BDSM classes at all levels, at many venues. Their teaching style combines humor and approachability with clarity and thorough research.

This is a low-cost class, compliments of SF Citadel and the presenters. Your sliding scale payment helps to maintain SF Citadel. SF Citadel is a large, permanent play space in San Francisco.

Reservations not required. You don't need to bring or wear anything special. If time is tight, you can bring dinner to eat during the class. The class is open to anyone 18 years and older with a sincere, positive, personal interest in BDSM / leather / kink. All roles, genders, and orientations welcome. If you have questions you may write to edukink AT yahoo DOT com

What past EduKink attendees have said:

“Ah, now I see where I’ve been making it hard on myself.”

“I wish I’d know these things when I got started.”

“Damn, I was hoping for wine and cheese.”

“Kinky Dating” is part of the monthly Newcomer’s Series of six low-cost BDSM/leather classes mainly for those with less than three years in the face-to-face scene. Old hands also welcome. The classes may be taken in any order, and there is very little overlap between them, so consider attending them all.

The next part will be “100 Ways to Play”, on Thursday June 9th, also at SF Citadel.
